Providing quality education is at the heart of what we do

LEYF is committed to providing the same high quality Early Years education and care in all our 40 nurseries.

This means that all our children experience wonderful learning opportunities every day, no matter where they live or whatever their family circumstances or challenges.

Our quality provision, is delivered through the LEYF pedagogy (our teaching and learning model).

Quality improvement is a continuous cycle, driven through our action research across our nurseries.

Leading the children to learn

We strive to achieve consistent quality across our nurseries. This is made easier by having strong core values, principles and policies, supported by the LEYF Pedagogy.

At LEYF, pedagogy means leading the children to learn. We do this by using the seven strands of our social pedagogy which is concerned with holistic learning, well-being and happiness, and kind, caring, harmonious relationships, an ethos of inclusion, equality and empathy, and giving our children a voice in their learning and care.

The Pedagogy shapes the way we teach and support the children in partnership with parents and the wider community. We believe that all learning takes place in and with the world around us and therefore we will prepare children to be able to engage with the environmental, technological and social changes on the horizon on their journey to becoming global citizens.
