Spaces available for under 2-year-olds
Rated Good by Ofsted, Playhouse Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old. You can find us in Fordham Park, close to New Cross and New Cross Gate stations. We’re a spacious, modern nursery, with separate rooms and gardens for different age groups.
Children can try many different activities from science experiments to traditional cooking, world music, yoga, construction, sensory play and much more! Families can join in the fun with regular workshops.
We work with the charity Box Project on our sustainability through reuse, upcycling and recycling. We also offer Musical Futures – a project brought together by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.
Our in-house chef prepares tasty, balanced meals using recipes from LEYF’s menu
Explore our shorter days offer
We also offer parents at this nursery the option of choosing shorter days for your child – 8am until 4pm. This will save you 20% on standard full-day nursery fees. Just get in touch with us at customerservices@leyf.org.uk.

Funmi, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Funmi and I've worked at LEYF and Playhouse Nursery & Pre-School since 2016. We have an experienced staff group here, who inspire the children to learn through curiosity and discovery. People would describe me as driven, nurturing and passionate.
At LEYF, all staff live our values.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
