Our new purpose-built LEYF nursery is a new addition to our family of nurseries across London. This is our second location in Greenwich and is particularly special as this is the first time we are designing and building a LEYF nursery from scratch.
Based in The Reach building, opposite Thames Mead Health Centre, Thames Reach Nursery and Pre-School is well served by local transport links and is a 15-minute walk from Plumstead Station, and 8 mins by bus from Woolwich Station.
The nursery has been custom-designed for LEYF, in line with our core design and sustainability principles, and will have places for 74 children across three rooms (babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers). The nurturing garden will present new opportunities for outdoor learning for the children, and the purpose-built kitchen will provide healthy, nutritious meals and snacks every day.
LEYF is partnering with landlords Peabody and their community foundation team to open our doors to enrich children’s learning in Thamesmead.

Alethea, Nursery Manager
Hello, my name is Alethea and I'm the nursery manager at Thames Reach Nursery and Pre-School. Here, we offer a bright and spacious environment, which develops children’s confidence and social skills. We have a passionate team at Thames Reach. Our staff give each child the personal attention they need and encourage the children to take an active role in planning activities.
