We’re in Lower Clapton, close to Hackney Downs and Hackney Central stations. We’re a light and roomy nursery with two gardens – one for under 2s and one for pre-schoolers.
The nursery has great links to the wider community and many of our staff live locally. There are lots of activities to try from learning Spanish to cooking, construction, growing fruit and veg and more!
The children love to get out and about too, enjoying outings to the local shops and library.
Our chef provides all meals using recipes from LEYF’s menu.

Vlora, Nursery Manager
I have over 20 years of experience in childcare, including 19 years in a managerial role. I am passionate about working with children and their families, building strong relationships, understanding their individual needs and interests, and supporting their overall development. LEYF is an exceptional organisation to work for, providing children with a wide range of opportunities and supporting their growth through the EYFS framework and LEYF’s Social Justice Pedagogy. I particularly value working in Hackney, a vibrant and diverse borough that offers rich learning experiences for children. Our local community provides access to parks, shops, and a stimulating environment where children can explore the world around them with curiosity and confidence.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
