Spaces available from birth to 5 years.‘Children flourish and develop superior levels of self-esteem and confidence…They start school with an abundance of knowledge and skills and a love of learning’. Ofsted
Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, Marsham Street Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old.
We’re situated in Westminster, behind Tate Britain and not far from Pimlico underground station. The nursery is set on three levels, with separate floors for each age group. We are also lucky enough to have two gardens for the children.
We inspire the children to learn through curiosity and discovery. There are so many activities to try with our experienced staff, from small world play with mythical creatures to woodwork, cooking, yoga, climbing and more.
The children love to explore too, enjoying outings to St James’s Park and Tate Britain.
Our chef prepares all meals using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.
Meet the manager
Merita, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Merita and I joined LEYF in 2011. I trained as a lawyer in Kosovo before moving to the UK in 1992, when I started working with young families and children. I am a passionate supporter of LEYF’s social purpose to give all children the very best start in life, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds who might otherwise not be able to access high quality Early Years education and care.
At LEYF, all staff live our values.
Brave
We are curious, bold and adventurous. We push boundaries and test new ideas, always standing up for the rights of children.
Inspiring
We encourage continuous development for children and staff. We challenge each other to question and explore so we learn together.
Nurturing
We are warm, caring, loving and welcoming. We create safe and homely environments for each child.
Fun
We are imaginative and creative and learn through play.
Parent at Marsham StreetThe staff are exceptional – taking the time to understand his preferences and creating play that suits them. The children go on trips to local parks, the Tate Gallery and other London landmarks.
Parent at Marsham StreetMarsham Street nursery has truly amazing staff and he has really blossomed with more accomplishments than I can list. Some of the key ones though are toilet training, self-eating and increased social confidence.
Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
