At Greengate Nursery (previously The Early Years Nursery – Ofsted Good) we provide a warm and welcoming environment where children from birth to 5 years old can thrive. Our experienced and dedicated teachers create a nurturing space where every child feels valued and respected.
Our nursery grounds are unique and operate from a converted barn-style building in Plaistow, Newham, a 10-minute walk from Plaistow station. We have a large garden space for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
We are proud to be one of the newest additions to the LEYF family of high-quality nurseries.
Our children begin learning from the moment they arrive at Greengate Nursery, with activities like self-registration fostering independence and early literacy skills our warm and supportive relationships between staff and children create a secure and happy environment where children can flourish.
We provide effective support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We offer a wide range of enriching activities, such as imaginative role-play, outdoor exploration, outings in the local community and creative art, stimulating their curiosity and encouraging learning.
We apply a 6% surcharge to mid-week bookings (bookings that do not include a Monday or a Friday). Subject to availability, we also offer extra sessions, charged at £84.40 per day.
We offer term time only private hours these are priced at a 10% premium to the hourly rate.
We charge an optional £2 Green LEYF fee to support with green projects in our nurseries.

My name is Morgan Parker and I am the manager of Greengate Nursery and Pre-School. I started working in nurseries as an apprentice in 2012 and have since gone on to gain my Level 3 in Childcare and BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies. I have a passion for outdoor learning and believe in the incredible benefits it brings to young children. Exploring nature helps develop their confidence, creativity, and curiosity, fostering a love for learning through hands-on experiences. I’m dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children can grow, thrive, and discover the world around them.
We are curious, bold and adventurous. We push boundaries and test new ideas, always standing up for the rights of children.
