Rated Good by Ofsted, Carlton Hill Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old. You can find us in Maida Vale, close to Maida Vale and Kilburn Park underground stations. We’re based in a beautiful period building, with a spacious garden.
Our experienced staff plan the day’s free play and focused activities with the children. They might make wooden toys and props, cook in our home corner, take part in science experiments, climb trees, grow fruit and veg or spot insects in our ‘jungle’. There are so many ways to learn! Our on-site chef prepares all meals using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.

Selamawit, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Selamawit and have I been at Carlton Hill Nursery & Pre-School since 2009. I took over as manager in 2014. My favourite memory during my time at Carlton Hill is helping a child with special needs secure extra hours to match his one-to-one sessions.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
