Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, Burgess Park Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from 2 to 5 years old. You can find us in Peckham, just off the Old Kent Road. We’re a big, open-plan nursery with a lovely spacious garden.
The children enjoy a wide range of activities with our experienced staff, from cooking to yoga, science, gardening, construction and much more! The children also love to get creative – making woodland scenes using pine cones, twigs and toys.
The nursery has strong links to the local community. Our on-site food bank provides additional support to parents and we also run a clothes bank. Our in-house chef provides all the children’s meals, using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.

Cheryl, pre-school manager
Hello, my name is Cheryl and I am the manager here at Burgess Park. I joined LEYF in 2022, but have worked in the industry for 17 years. I am very dedicated and feel passionately about inclusion and using a child-centered approach.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
