Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, Brixton Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old. You can find us in Brixton, a few minutes’ walk from the train and tube stations.
We’re based inside the recreation centre, in a cosy setting with a small outdoor area and use of the centre’s swimming pool and soft play area. Our experienced staff draw inspiration from Brixton’s rich cultural history. Activities include science experiments, woodwork, cooking, messy arts play and much more.
The children love to get out and about in the local area too, enjoying trips to the local shops and market. Our in-house chef provides all meals for the children, using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.

We also offer parents at this nursery the option of choosing shorter days for your child – 8am until 4pm. This will save you 20% on standard full-day nursery fees. Just get in touch with us at customerservices@leyf.org.uk.

Anna, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Anna, and I'm the manager at Brixton Nursery & Pre-School. I've been at LEYF since 2021. I've worked in the Early Years sector for over 16 years and met many wonderful families. I believe it's a great privilege to work with children and each journey with each individual child is magical. I feel fulfilled when I hear children's laughter and see their smiles.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
