About our nursery
You can find us in Dagenham, not far from Dagenham East underground station and close to The Leys park. We’re a bright, modern nursery, with rooms for different age groups and a surrounding garden for free-flow play.
Each child can choose the activities they enjoy every day, from sensory play with ice and water to small world play with dinosaurs, languages, construction, obstacle courses and much more!
We are based inside a children’s centre, where parents have access to groups to attend and can be signposted to services to support their family well-being or for financial support.
The nursery’s chef provides all meals from scratch, using recipes from LEYF’s nutritious menu.

Caroline, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Caroline and I have been at Leys Nursery & Pre-School since 2009, when myself and the team opened the nursery from new. Leys has some truly unique features, from the moment you step inside. The large, spacious rooms with their own defined areas allow children the freedom to explore their own learning at a level suited to them.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
