Rated Good by Ofsted Bushy Tails Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old. You can find us in the heart of Teddington, not far from Queen’s Road and Teddington stations. We’re a bright, spacious nursery with a large outdoor space, including three gardens and our very own allotment.
We aim to be a sustainable nursery and children plant, grow and harvest a large variety of fruit and vegetables, which they then cook and eat! The children enjoy a wide range of activities from body painting to making bread, sensory play using foam and ice to singing nursery rhymes. Situated right next to the largest Royal Park in London, Bushy Park, we regularly visit the park, offering children a close-up to nature and the great outdoors.
The nursery’s in-house chef provides all meals using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.

Emma, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Emma and I am the manager at Bushy Tails Nursery and Pre-School. I have been at the nursery since 2019. People would describe me as enthusiastic, encouraging and dedicated to the nursery and our children. Here at Bushy Tails, we provide children with activities to give them the confidence to explore and learn. Science activities, in particular, are very popular with our children.

I wanted to praise the staff at the nursery for looking after my 2-year-old son so well. He is so excited each day to attend nursery; he gets frustrated if we don't get his coat on and out the door quick enough! Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
