My name is Stacey-Jane and I joined LEYF in 2003 as a practitioner, after a lot of hard work I became a manager in 2014 and now I am the manager of New Cross Community Nursery. I also have the Early Years Foundation Degree and Early Years Professional Status (EYPS). We have a highly qualified staff team; practitioners' knowledge and skills help to support and extend children’s learning to their full potential.
New Cross Community Nursery, which opened in June 2015, offers a fun environment for children to enjoy and learn in.
The nursery's indoor areas are spacious, light and resourced to promote independence and free choice, which encourages children to develop through their learning.
Staff provide activities and learning experiences that challenge and extend children's thinking so that they can achieve and be the best they can be.
Our teachers enjoy exploring the gloop as much as the children.
The children help to cut vegetables to make their own vegetable soup.
"I spent longer than anticipated on the visit because I was made to feel so comfortable. I'd also like to say this was the first nursery to talk me through fire regulations."
"The rooms are so spacious and full of natural light. My son has developed so much over the last 9 months."
"I'm happy with how things are going at nursery. I find my child is happy to be there."
"Our daughter loves coming to the nursery - she has lots of friends, loves the staff and clearly feels at home."
