LEYF at the 2017 Nursery World Show
Nursery World Show 2017!
On Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th February LEYF exhibited at the Nursery World Show – and what a show it was!
From an inspiring seminar to a live cooking show, LEYF’s contribution was a varied one.
The setup for the show started on Thursday, as the supplies
were transferred from our office to the Business Design Centre in Islington. From
there it was all systems go, as the team worked hard to get everything ready
for the public visitors on Friday and Saturday. The biggest hurdle we had
to overcome was creating a mock nursery on the lower floor of the venue. With wooden toys from Community Playthings and homemade play dough it looked amazing (check our Twitter feed for photos!).
And then the show began! Friday was an absolutely hectic day
for us. From early morning leafleting to dealing with requests for
information from dozens of potential employees and customers, everyone was firing on all
cylinders. The team working in the mock nursery had a huge amount of interviews
to work through (we had run out of appointments by lunchtime!) and they did an astounding job.
LEYF staff also pulled off some great presentations! Our expert chef, David Neil, took to the stage to teach the attendees about the value of healthy eating and teaching young children to cook. And our Learning & Development guru, Gary Simpson, held a number of seminars on 'the importance of being your best'.
Did you attend the show? If you missed your opportunity to come and have an interview with us, don’t worry you can still view our vacancies and apply here! Make sure you follow us on Twitter and check us out on Facebook !
