Keeping Safe in The Sun

With Summer fast approaching, now is the perfect time to talk about staying safe in the sun! Whether your jetting off to somewhere hot or staying in Britain over the summer, it’s very likely you’ll be taking your little one outside. So, we’ve compiled a few tips for keeping them safe in the sun!

1)  Sun cream

Now, this might seem like an obvious one but you would be surprised how many parents forget this important tool when faced with the prospect of a sunny day out! Apply sun cream liberally and regularly to avoid nasty burns.

2)  Shade

We know that sitting in the shade might defeat the purpose of being out in the sun for some you but it’s definitely a great way to enjoy the weather without putting your little ones at risk. Take regular breaks from the sunshine by resting in a nice shady spot – this is often the best time to reapply sun cream!

3)  Stay hydrated

Of course, it’s not all about avoiding the sun – staying hydrated is equally important! As a parent or guardian, it’s your responsibility to make sure you’re carrying enough water to keep your child hydrated and happy!

4)  Protective Clothing

Another way to ensure your child is consistently safe in the sun is to make sure they’re wearing the correct clothing. Hats and sunglasses are vital when it’s sunny!
