London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) Nurseries is London’s largest childcare social enterprise with over 100 years’ experience educating and caring for children across London. We are looking for a Nursery Manager to lead our nursery staff team at our Holcroft Community Nursery in Hammersmith and Fulham. Our Holcroft nursery has a lovely and cosy environment with a strong family feel. As it is a small nursery, the relationship between staff, children and parents are intimate. The building layout is very streamlined with lovely bright lights and open space. It is very central for commuting and community exploratory purposes. It offers a lovely sized outdoor space. The Nursery has a total of 32 places for children aged 0-5 years and is open 51 weeks of the year. With 12 nursery staff team, our Holcroft nursery is rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2016.
You will be supported every step of the way by your designated area manager and dedicated central office teams and we will work with you to develop your skills further; however, we do ask that you bring some skills and expertise with you. You would be required to have experience delivering excellent leadership and management within a Nursery/ Early Years setting. Be passionate about implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring high quality care and learning opportunities for all children, this will include experience of developing relationships with parents/ guardians and experience of positively developing staff. We will also ask you to demonstrate your ability to manage appropriate budgets, monitor spending and take overall responsibility of all financial and administrative tasks in the Nursery. You will also be asked to demonstrate your experience of managing and projecting occupancy.
