Helping Your Children Make Friends

Making Friends

Here at LEYF we think it’s pretty important for your little ones to connect with other children. Making and having friends is an important step in development; but we know it can be scary! So we wanted to share a few tips that will help you support your child making friends!

The first thing you can do is talk to your child and encourage them to play with other children and be confident. Teach them the importance of being nice and sharing too! Polite and caring children will make friends easily and their manners will also benefit them as they grow up.

Secondly, once your little ones have started making friends, talk to the parents of their friends and see if you can arrange some playdates! Playdates are a fantastic way of encouraging your child to play with others and has the added bonus of helping you to socialise with other parents and swap some tips and tricks!

The next thing you can do to help your little ones make friends is to encourage them to attend clubs! There are tons of different clubs for your children across London for all manner of activities that will let your child socialise in a safe, controlled environment.
