I’m Beverley and I've been with LEYF since 1995 and have been the Manager of Micky Star since 2009. Our family-friendly nursery is warm and welcoming, and a real part of the local community. Parents particularly like how we celebrate current events and include the whole family. We have lovely large and spacious rooms, and a fabulous outdoor space which includes a new covered learning area. We share this with the children's centre and another local nursery, and it's great to have those links with other early years establishments in the area. A memory that particularly stands out for me is of a child who left the nursery to move abroad with her family, and when returning to visit the UK begged her parents to take her to see the nursery as she missed it so much. We're very proud of our nursery and would love to show you around! Please get in touch to arrange a visit.
Please note Micky Star Nursery is offering the 30 Hours from 1 September, 2017. This is open to working parents of 3 & 4 year olds. Please contact Bev your Nursery Manager for details.
We are located in Paddington, providing care and education for children from birth to 5 years. We're open 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year.
"Micky Star is such a good nursery and all members of staff are so friendly." Micky Star parent
"My daughter can't wait to go to nursery every day. She sings songs she's learned, and is progressing with her alphabet and days of the week. The nursery is clean and well resourced, and the staff are friendly, experienced and understand child behaviour." Halima, parent at Micky Star
"We have had a great time with Micky Star, and feel that all the staff are wonderful and give our daughter the best care while she is with them. She has learned so much and become so independent." Micky Star parent
"Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. Amazing facilities, great staff, indoor and outdoor activities and open all year round. I don't know what I'd do without it ." Katie, parent at Micky Star
We were most recently inspected by Ofsted in June 2017 and were rated as ‘Good’.
''Children make good progress and any gaps in their learning are closing. Babies learn new words, explore resources safely and negotiate space, developing their physical skills. Children listen attentively, respond well to instructions and consider the views of others. Older children count objects and confidently solve problems. Children enjoy investigating, such as living things using magnifying glasses. They know that dinosaurs do not exist and share their experience of colour and shape.''
