At London Early Years Foundation (LEYF), we support our staff with training and development opportunities through the LEYF Academy. This means you can develop your career to your full potential, and we can provide the best learning experiences for our staff and our children.

LEYF Academy

LEYF offers all our staff free training sessions through the LEYF Academy. Every member of staff receives 8 sessions per year ranging from dialogic reading to paediatric first aid. Created by our expert Learning & Development team, our workshops are held throughout the year and equip our staff with the skills they need to succeed.

Childcare qualifications

Between the ages of 0-5 years children’s brains develop the most. Early years is therefore one of the most important and privileged stages of a child’s education to teach.
Childcare qualifications offered by LEYF include:
• Level 3 in Early Years
• LEYF degree

Leadership Training

Stepping into management positions can be challenging so we equip our Deputy Managers and Room Leaders with the skills they need to be a success.

In-house Enrichment training includes:
• Business of Nurseries
• Managing Difficult Conversations
• Aspiring Leaders

Developing your skills

All LEYF staff including our chefs are abler to attend a wide range of both whole-day and half-day sessions. These offer a wide range of both essential core and enrichment training programs.

Sessions offered to all staff include:
• Makaton and early communication
• LEYF provocations
• Fantasy Play make and take
