Seeking Exceptional Childcare Practitioners
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our Play House Nursery is seeking passionate Level 3 Qualified Full Time Practitioners to provide inspiring and fun care for our children whilst creating a nurturing environment and encouraging bravery and curiosity in our children’s development.
WHO ARE LEYF?
London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) Nurseries is London’s largest childcare social enterprise with over 100 years’ experience educating and caring for children across London. We are a not-for profit organisation and give free places to nearly half of our families, so that children from all backgrounds can enjoy early years learning and care.
OUR PLAY HOUSE NURSERY
Playhouse Community Nursery is located in New Cross, providing care and education for children from three months to five-years-old.
The nursery has warm, friendly staff and there is a family feel about the place. There are four group rooms which all lead to large, beautiful outdoor areas.
There is a diverse and enticing menu of healthy and nutritious meals for children to enjoy. Staff encourage children to practice good table manners, use cutlery, serve themselves and even scrape their own plates clean.
The nursery has its own research-based curriculum that supports children to grow up as confident, inquisitive explorers who love learning.
Our Play House is open 08.30-18.30 All year round except bank holidays.
You will be required to work on 8-hour shift patterns with other staff members depending on the nursery’s requirements
WHAT DO LEYF OFFER YOU?
As a permanent member of the LEYF family you will be entitled to:
Age Range: 3months - 5years
OFSTED Rating: Good
In 2001, I joined the LEYF family and have been at Playhouse Nursery since 2016. We have four amazing gardens for the children to explore. We are a long standing team who are passionate about supporting our children's development. We're well established within the community and parents recommend us to others as well as enrol siblings. My proudest moment was watching a child with SEND take her first steps, even though her parents were told she'd never walk. I believe that every child is like a seed; with the right nurturing and nourishment they will develop into their own person with individual attributes and qualities. No two seeds are the same but they're just as beautiful as the next.
We know it’s our people who make LEYF great. That’s why we value each staff member and offer:
● Pay and conditions above the national average in the nursery sector
● A nurturing, fun and value-led working environment
● An award-winning staff training and development programme
● The opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives
