Deputy Manager – Leys Childrens Centre Nursery (Dagenham)

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team at Leys. You’ll be working in a fun and caring environment, with the time and space to develop warm and loving relationships with the children in your care.


You need to have:

  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Experience in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure high quality care and learning opportunities for all children.
  • A passion for enabling your staff to be everything they can be.
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Policy & Procedures
  • Strong relationship building skills

I've been part of the LEYF family since 1991 and at Leys Nursery since we opened our doors in 2008. Our nursery is special because we're at the heart of the community and, as we're based in a children's centre, we support all aspects of family life. I'd describe myself as passionate, welcoming and nurturing and I'm really proud that some of our staff who joined as level 2 practitioners have gone on to become managers at other LEYF nurseries! I believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience LEYF in their life, through our high quality childcare, regardless of their background or situation in life.
