Camping with Children

Who needs an expensive international holiday when you’ve got the entirety of the Great British outdoors to explore? Camping is a great way to spend some quality time with your little ones and we wanted to give you some tips for the perfect camping trip

1)  Prepare

Going camping isn’t difficult – however, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t prepare for your trip thoroughly.  Make sure you’ve got the right equipment – tents, chairs etc and an idea of what you’re going to do when you arrive. Having some activities planned before you go out to the campsite can save you from dealing with bored children later-on.

2)  Equip yourself

The right equipment is vital to the success of a camping trip! When you’re preparing what to take it’s important to get the right stuff – and to make sure it’s safe to use around the little ones! Tents, sleeping bags and bug spray are just some of the things you should buy before your trip!

3)  Food

If your child is a bit of a fussy eater, a camping trip can be a bit of a challenge. Luckily there are loads of healthy options to make for happy campers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, fruit and whatever else you might need. And don’t forget the marshmallows!

4)  Fire

Now, no campsite would be complete without a campfire. Bring along the acoustic guitar and get ready to sing the night away. However, it’s important to keep your campfire a reasonable size and safe distance from your little ones. Ensure they are not able to get too close.
