Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, Brixton Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old. You can find us in Brixton, a few minutes’ walk from the train and tube stations.
We’re based inside the recreation centre, in a cosy setting with a small outdoor area and use of the centre’s swimming pool and soft play area. Our experienced staff draw inspiration from Brixton’s rich cultural history. Activities include science experiments, woodwork, cooking, messy arts play and much more.
The children love to get out and about in the local area too, enjoying trips to the local shops and market. Our in-house chef provides all meals for the children, using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.

Vanessa, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Vanessa and I’m the nursery manager at Brixton Nursery. I joined LEYF in 2024, with 15 years in Early Years Education. I am passionate about creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our children.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
