About the qualification

The Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce Qualification is aimed at learners who wish to work in the Children and Young People’s Workforce. It is a nationally recognised vocational qualification, which is based on national occupational standards agreed by the national training organisation for the childcare sector (the Children’s Workforce Development Council CWDC) and other sector and the National Day Nursery Association. It recognises an individual’s achievement against these national standards which is recognised by a Diploma awarded by the Awarding Body (Cache).

What it means for you

The Diploma will guide and assess development of knowledge and skills relating to Early Learning and Child care, Social Care and the Learning Development and Support Services. Where appropriate, it also confirms competence in these areas and serves as the required qualification for all new practitioners for registration and regulatory requirements in the Children and Young People’s Workforce.
