We, at the LEYF Centre for Research, Learning and Development (CRLD), are excited to get our first ever Continual Professional Development Programme off the ground – which is aimed at early years professionals across the sector.

In order to ensure that our training delivery is meaningful and useful to practitioners, each of our training programmes is informed by staff - through consultation and action-research in the nurseries. As part of our bespoke Continual Professional Development Programme we also deliver evening training sessions at the nurseries, in order to avoid problems of staff cover and to encourage whole team participation.

This way, training needs are identified and transformed into training programmes which empower staff to plan and implement the early years curriculum in their respective nurseries in ways that benefit all children and their families.
