Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, Ford Road Nursery & Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old.
You can find us in Dagenham, not far from Dagenham Heathway tube and Old Dagenham Park. We’re a light, spacious nursery, with separate rooms and adjoining gardens for different age groups. The nursery has a fully equipped sensory room.
Our experienced staff plan each day with help from the children. There are lots of activities to enjoy, from climbing trees to growing veg, woodwork, arts and crafts, storytelling, baking and even the occasional singalong around our firepit!
The nursery’s in-house chef provides all meals from scratch, using recipes from LEYF’s nutritious menu.
We also offer term time only sessions 9:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Pauline, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Pauline and I have been the manager of Ford Road Nursery & Pre-School since 2009. I particularly enjoy spending time in the rooms with the children, observing them having fun during their play. We really stand out from other nurseries, because of our large outside play areas for all age groups. I have an open-door approach to encourage good communication between management and the staff team.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
