The nursery has a long history. It was opened by the Queen Mother in 1937 as part of the new 'Bessborough Street Maternal & Child Welfare Centre'. The new and improved Bessborough Centre - including clinic, Children's Centre and LEYF community nursery - now provides children and parents in the local Tachbrook area with first class facilities including a brand new play garden, sensory room, three play areas and family clinic - all helping to support child health, growth and play-based education.
