Nursery events: December update

As community nurseries, there's little our staff love more than holding events for their children and parents - and where possible, open their doors to other families in the wider community!  To this end, we wanted to let everyone know about some dates coming up in December...

Luton Street Community Nursery (for existing parents and new starters)

  • Saturday, 3rd / Me and My Dad  (stay & play with picnic)
  • Wednesday, 14th / Talk To Me (Language Emersion day: parents and children making puppets with spoons)
  • Friday, 16th / Winter Wonderland Party
  • Wednesday, 21st / Christmas Lunch

Meanwhile, parents at Micky Star Community Nursery can look forward to their Christmas play and Santa’s visit on Wednesday, 14th  and their Christmas party on Friday, 16th December!

Over in Barking & Dagenham, our lovely Eastbury Children's Centre Nursery team are inviting families from across their local community to share in Christmas carolsmince pies at 1.30pm on Monday, 12th December (St Patricks Church, Blake Avenue).

For parents in the SW1 area of London, Bessborough Community Nursery are holding a nursery open evening between 4-7pm on Thursday 8 December. Nursery Manager, Mona Majed tells parents what they can look forward to:

Parents will be given a full tour of our nursery, introduced to members of staff and then have the opportunity to learn about some of the activities we enjoy with the children - and even have a go themselves! They will also hear about LEYF's ethos, the Early Yearly Foundation Stage Curriculum and how we implement this in the nursery.

Finally, for interested parents, information about fees and available sessions will be available, along with a simple application form to complete before they leave.

If you would like to come along to any of the above events, please do contact the nursery direct for more information and to confirm eligibility using the links above.
